Before you come in for a massage, please note our new protocol:

What I ask of you:

- Please reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned below.

- Please don't come into my office until the exact appointment start time so I have enough time to sanitize between clients.

- Please wash your hands before each massage begins.

- I invite you to wear a face mask while face-up on the massage table, if you can do so comfortably.

What you can expect from me:

- I will take my temperature and check myself for other symptoms before starting each shift.

- I will wear a fresh cloth face mask while working on each client.

- I will provide disposable paper cups instead of glass cups so there’s no risk of spreading infection.

- I will have hand sanitizer available in my treatment and waiting rooms.

Current Covid-19 Indicator Symptoms:

  • Fever over 100.4° Fahrenheit

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Sore throat

  • Chills or repeated shaking with chills

  • Unexplained muscle pain

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

- I will ask you if you have experienced any symptoms when you arrive for your appointment.

- I will continue to disinfect my massage table and face cradle, as I have always done.

- I will also sanitize my desk, the client’s chair and waiting room area, the interior door handles, and the side tables in the massage treatment room between each client.

- I will use hydrogen peroxide, a non-toxic yet Covid-19 effective disinfectant suitable for people with sensitivities to smells or chemical cleaners.

- I will keep my outside office door open so you don’t have to touch it.

Since the bathroom is shared with other tenants in the building, I have less control over the cleanliness of this public space than I do over my private office. I advise you to treat this space as you would any public bathroom.

Muscle Memory Massage Re-opening Operation Plan

Protecting the community is everyone’s responsibility. As the owner/operator of a business that provides personal care services I have an additional obligation to ensure that my establishment doesn’t cause or contribute to the community spread of COVID-19. Because the nature of massage therapy requires I am in close (less than 6’) or direct contact with clients, my business must adhere to restrictions and requirements that are in addition to the minimum requirements for all other businesses.

On May 8, 2020, the Missoula City-County Health Officer issued local Orders allowing personal care service operations to open on May 11, 2020 provided they meet certain minimum standards and create a specific plan to address those standards.

  4. I will ask each client if they have experienced any symptoms when they arrive for their appointment.

  5. I will not allow walk-in clients.

  6. I will invite clients to wear a face mask if they can do so comfortably.

Muscle Memory Massage Employee Health Agreement for COVID-19

Background

COVID-19 is a highly contagious viral illness that easily spreads through contact with others. Excluding sick employees from the workplace is one of the best defenses against community spread. This document is not a substitute for medical advice. If you have concerns about your health and COVID-19, please consult a medical provider.

Indicator symptoms of COVID-19 may change as new information is discovered. Current CDC guidance indicates that people infected with COVID-19 may have the following symptoms:

  • Fever over 100.4° Fahrenheit

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Sore throat

  • Chills or repeated shaking with chills

  • Unexplained muscle pain

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

Employees experiencing any of the above symptoms must be excluded from work until they have been symptom-free for at least three days. In addition, any employees with symptoms should be tested for COVID-19. Testing centers in Missoula have recently expanded the criteria for testing eligibility. There are currently nine testing sites available in Missoula County, and the contact information is available on our website.

Agreement

I AGREE TO NOT WORK IF I HAVE, OR HAVE HAD, THE ABOVE REFERENCED SYMPTOMS IN THE LAST 3 DAYS.

I UNDERSTAND THAT OTHER SYMPTOMS MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH COVID-19 AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED WHEN DETERMINING WHETHER TO WORK.

I UNDERSTAND THAT A DAILY SYMPTOM CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE I BEGIN WORKING EACH SHIFT
